Armani Exchange Watches

On his 3rd year at work at the auto factory, my friend Edgar Holman received his first promotion. He was promoted to line foreman. I’m not sure what exactly that meant but he mentioned that part of his job would be to monitor the amount of time taken for each work on the car being build. As he said that, I remember casually glancing at his watch; it was an ordinary analog watch of some unknown brand. There were no sub-dials which meant no stop-watch. I decided; time had come for an upgrade besides, the Christmas was next week.

Searching online for watches with stop-watch was a waste of time – there were just too many of them and that too with a bewildering range of features and functions. So, I asked another friend about the best watch with a stop-watch function. “Mike, that’s easy – took a look at mine” he said.

It looked very nice, had three sub-dials and had “A|X” embossed just below the 12’Oclock position. “Armani Exchange Drexler AX2626 Quartz Men’s Watch” he said proudly. Then, took off the watch and offered it to me for inspection.

The watch had a gold tone stainless-steel case which was attached to a rich brown leather strap. He said he hadn’t changed the battery in the past two years. Which meant that this was a quartz movement watch. My friend tapped the crystal and proudly said “mineral”. Nice I thought, the scratch-resistance features of a mineral crystal will come in handy especially in an automobile factory.

The blue dial went very well with the gold tone case. Also, the hour markers and the hands were all in the same gold tone and contrasted well with the blue dial. The analog display meant that my friend Edgar did not have to learn anything new. The familiarity would continue. Moreover, it is the chronograph functions that would come most handy.

The sub-dial on the right displayed the hour in 24-hour fashion while the sub-dial at the bottom counted up to 60-seconds. The one on the left counted the minutes – up to 30. There was also a date window at the bottom of the watch just above the 6’Oclock hour marker.

The back of the Armani Exchange Drexler AX2626 Quartz Men’s Watch was solid; which was nice. I personally did not prefer the ones with a transparent back that displayed the innards of the watch. I’m not one of those who is fascinated with the workings of the watch.

The leather strap had a buckle type clasp which mean the watch would be held securely in place and, the user could also make a custom hole so the watch fitted perfectly.

The 100M water resistance meant the user need not panic if he jumped into the pool wearing the watch. If you ask me, I’d say this was a neat package – one that my friend Edgar Holman would like. Two days later, I purchased this watch from https://www.citywatches.ie/product/armani-exchange-drexler-ax2626-quartz-mens-watch/ at just Euro 138/- (retail price was Euro 400 something).

The watch was delivered in a nice box with instructions and an international warranty. On Christmas day, I visited my friend Edgar and presented him that watch. He whopped with joy saying “Just today morning I was hoping someone would give me a chrono so I didn’t have to buy one” he said smiling and giving me a warm hug. Yup, this was another success story.
