Michael Kors

It was around 8 p.m. that day when I parked my car into our garage. I remember the time because I was late and of course, my wife had thoughtfully put a wall clock on our garage wall to remind me of the time. Don’t know about you; but it makes me laugh each time I see it.

Anyway, I hardly got out of the car when my little 7-year old daughter came rushing to me saying she needs to buy a “Michael Kors watch for her friend”. Honestly, I had no idea what a “Michael Kors” was. My wife was standing near the door and I raised an eyebrow to her. She said “wash up and I will tell you all about it”. My daughter meanwhile tagged along holding on to my coat. “Daddy, daddy her birthday is this weekend and we have to get it before that”. Today is Thursday I thought to myself, we have 3 days.

As I was washing up, I wondered why specifically a Michael Kors watch. I mean my daughter’s friend couldn’t be much older than seven, could she? Why not a dress or some game or something?

Well, let us see I thought to myself as I got out of the shower and dressed. As we sat down for dinner my daughter explained that her close friend Agatha Williams, when asked what she wanted for her birthday, apparently replied that she wanted the same watch her mom was wearing. Wooo, I thought to myself getting a bit alarmed. The Williams were a wealthier family than us. Mr. Jerry Williams was a real estate dealer and if the two big Mercs parked in front of their place is any indicator; a successful one at that.

My little daughter said she asked Agatha’s mom about the watch and turns out; it was a Michael Kors “with little diamonds on the edge”. I almost chocked on my food. Before I could begin to tell her that it might be a bit too expensive, my wife interrupted saying that she had checked it out it only cost €315. My heart beat slowed down a bit but 315 Euros that too a 7-year old girl’s gift was, I felt was a bit exorbitant.

I don’t know how my little daughter does it, but she sensed I was about to say “no” and implored me to not say “no”. I hurriedly finished my dinner and went into our study room, fired up the old faithful computer and checked out “Michael Kors with diamonds”. It took me a while to finally arrive at this page: https://www.citywatches.ie/product/michael-kors-darci-silver-dial-mk3298-womens-watch/ where the watch Michael Kors Darci Silver Dial MK3298 Women’s Watch was being sold at just under €150 and it included the international warranty card. The reviews were not too bad too.

I’ll grudgingly acknowledge that the watch does look nice, it had a two-tone gold-and-stainless steel bracelet attached to a 3-cm case two-tone gold-and-stainless steel case that had tiny diamonds on the edge of the case. The dial was pearl-white with golden hour markers and hands. No date, just the ‘Michael Kors’ in gold on the top just below the 12-hour marker. The watch certainly looked marvellous and very expensive. You can’t go wrong with a gift like this.

I thank the Lord I found this Citywatches.ie site that seems to have hundreds of brands, all genuine and all offered at substantial discounts. Needless to say, the birthday went well and if all the whopping and jumping that the birthday girl Agatha Williams did was any indicator, I guess she was delighted with the gift she received.
