Timex Intelligent Indiglo Fly-Back Chronograph Quartz T2N700 Men’s Watch

Some days ago, my colleague Steve was talking about the Timex Intelligent Quartz technology. He was of the opinion that Timex offers some awesome timepieces with the latest features and innovations for a very affordable price range. My interest was aroused and so I set about finding whatever there is to know about the Timex brand of watches.

The Timex Brand is a typical American watchmaking company that was founded way back in 1854. It is known for creating good quality timepieces that are great looking and affordable. The brand has been credited with revolutionizing the watch industry with the backlight technology known as “Indiglo” which was introduced in 1992. The term ‘Indiglo’ is derived from the word indigo and the technology gives a backlight to the dial with an electroluminescent panel.

The Timex Intelligent Indiglo Fly-Back Chronograph Quartz T2N700 Men’s Watch seemed a good example of Timex’s proprietary Indiglo technology as well as the Intelligent Quartz Technology. Other notable features include a fly-back chronograph which makes the watch appear very functional and cool at the same time.

Most of us are familiar with the chronograph feature offered in wrist watches. However, the fly back chronograph works a little differently. A fly back chronograph has the capability to restart the timer function even when the chronograph is engaged. In other words, you don’t need to stop and reset the chronograph if you want to time an event. It saves time and provides accurate measurements. Additionally, the T2N700 has a 4-hour chronograph where most other models offer a half or one-hour display.

Overall, the Timex Indiglo Fly-back Chronograph Quartz gives off nice vibes and would appeal to the younger set for its casual look and useful complications. It is a sturdy watch built using the best quality materials and for the pricing, certainly well worth buying.

At a discounted price of €136 at Citywatches.ie this technically sophisticated watch is well worth the price. The Gunmetal black steel case with the tan coloured leather strap gives it a sporty look although some would find the watch face to be a tad cluttered.  The date window and logo are placed in the top right side of the dial. The hour and minute sub dials are placed on opposite sides. The bold Arabic numerals along with skeleton hour and minute hands tell you the time at a glance.
