Orient Orient Three Star Automatic RA-AB0E16S19B Men’s Watch

As an auto mechanic at the Ashton Auto Service in Dublin, no matter how careful I am, I go through at least one wrist watch every two years or so. So, no surprises that my current watch too has accumulated so many scratches on crystal, that I can barely see the time.

This time though, I’ve decided to wear a leather wrist band on top of the watch. The leather wrist band that I purchased online is handcrafted item from Indonesia and it has a square Velcro line flap on the top. If I need to see the time, I flip open the flap, see the time, close the flap again. The watch stays protected – at least that’s the theory and I am hoping it will work.

This time though, instead of the usual plastic digital watches that I tend to prefer, I decided to buy a proper wrist watch and I decided on Orient. Orient because my highly educated son has one and I loved the simpleness of it despite the internal complexity.

The watch I chose was the Orient Three Star Automatic RA-AB0E16S19B Men’s Watch. This is a stainless-steel model with pure white dial face. The houses are marked in Arabic and there are golden but highly luminous hour and minute hands. There the day-date window on the right at the standard 3-Oclock location.

Being a ‘automatic’, the Orient Three Star Automatic RA-AB0E16S19B Men’s Watch powers itself by the wrist movement i.e. the movement of the wrist is used to coil up the spring. At least that is how I think it works. Anyway, no battery required.

The Orient Three Star Automatic RA-AB0E16S19B Men’s Watch is water resistant up to 30 meters so while it can withstand rain, it might not do well in the swimming pool. For me, the watch represented a step-up from the plastic digital watches I wore until recently. Also, at nearly 4 cm across, the watch is sufficiently impressive and my friends have already noticed it.

The Orient Three Star Automatic RA-AB0E16S19B Men’s Watch cost me just €100 (against its retail price of €165). If you want to know where I bought it from, well, I bought it online at this location: https://www.citywatches.ie/product/orient-three-star-automatic-ra-ab0e16s19b-mens-watch/ the place has many brands and models and offers good discounts on each watch. Moreover, each watch comes with a one-year international warranty card.

The Orient Three Star Automatic RA-AB0E16S19B Men’s Watch is of course a Japanese watch. Fully assembled in Japan and even the parts are designed and made inhouse by the company. As a customer, I therefore look forward to a watch that keeps accurate time and lasts long. In fact, I’ve been using it for the past one month now and so far, it hasn’t even lost or gained a minute. The time is absolutely spot-on. Cheers everyone, hope you found this review useful.
